Flotilla 63 is a descendant of Flotilla 55, the Peninsula’s original

Flotilla 63 is proud of the fact that some of its members have risen to serve at every level of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s organization. During 2007, the Flotilla's boat crews logged over 850 hours, our 13 vessels examiners conducted 310 vessel safety checks (VSCs), our 6 Marina Program Visitors made 324 visits; our members received 400 hours of training, and our 11 instructors conducted 123 hours of public education. Members also contributed over 7,800 hours of time to other missions and administrative support. Additionally, our members contribute 4 radio facilities and 11 boat facilities to COAST GUARD FORCES. The
Flotilla normally meets at 7:00 pm on the 4th
Thursday of every month at the Poquoson Community Center, 49 Odd Road. The
public is always welcome and potential new members are encouraged to attend,
meet the members, and learn more about Flotilla 63. |
